TRIBUTE TO BEETHOVEN - Drum In The Symphony no. 9
The work that most charachterizes Massimo Aiello, though, is own original solo performance "TRIBUTE TO BEETHOVEN" in which he drums on a recording of the 9th Symphony.
The performance lasts about 80 minutes and has encountered a great success since 1987 in theathers, squares, churches, educational institutes, theather festivals.
It is a different way of playing classical music:
"my target is the intention of playing “inside” the Symphony with the right notes, melodies and groove/interpretation and not to dominate,
overhang the music as normally done".
